I've been waiting ~24 hours and have chatted for ~3 hours with Xfinity to get my phone unlocked to move it to a new carrier.
After reading through these forums it looks like this is yet another horrible instance of customer service from Xfinity. They told me they have to contact Apple in order to unlock my phone - so infuriating.
I added Xfinity Mobile about a year or so a go and was only paying $12/month. Since cancelling their over priced unreliable wifi, my mobile bill went up to $24 then $34 and most recently $44, so predictable with Xfinity.
Now I've transferred my number to a new carrier however Xfinity won't unlock my phone and won't reactivate my service with out changing my number. This is such a joke and very risky for me as my 90 year old mother lives two hours away and has no way to reach me until my phone is activated.
Has anyone had any luck with anything in working with Xfinity?
