To close out a busy July, Final Fantasy 14 has launched Patch 7.05, featuring a new treasure dungeon, the first Savage tier of The Arcadion raid series, and various Job adjustments. This latest update went live following a brief overnight maintenance period.
Arriving shortly after the launch of The Arcadion raid series in Patch 7.01, the new update introduces the AAC Light-Heavyweight Tier, challenging level 100 players with intense raids. Players who complete these raids weekly can earn tokens to exchange for armor and accessories specific to their Job and role. Patch 7.01 also brought notable changes to several Jobs, with Monk receiving significant updates to its Beast Chakra gauge and core skills in response to player feedback.
Two weeks after Patch 7.01, Square Enix has rolled out another content update for players. According to a Lodestone post, Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.05 introduces a new Treasure Dungeon called Cenote Ja Ja Gural, located in the ruins of the Yak T'el region. Similar to Endwalker's Excite-A-Tron 6000 map dungeon, this dungeon is designed for a full party of eight players and requires Timeworn Br'aaxskin Maps to access. Patch 7.05 also includes the AAC Light-Heavyweight Tier (Savage) raid series, featuring four challenging boss fights. This is the first Savage raid tier in over a year, following the Pandaemonium: Anabaseios (Savage) series from Endwalker's Patch 6.4.

In terms of Job changes, Patch 7.05 brings buffs and adjustments to several Jobs. Notably, Paladin, Machinist, Ninja, and Dark Knight have had key skills tweaked to align better with other Jobs in their roles. The Samurai's Tsubame-gaeshi skill has been altered for more frequent use, though this change also led to nerfs in other areas of the Samurai's skill set. Building on the 7.01 changes, Black Mage received further adjustments to Umbral Soul and spells like Fire IV, Paradox, and Flare. Additionally, the Viper saw significant changes, including the removal of the Noxious Gnash debuff, with other skills adjusted accordingly.
With the new 7.05 update and an upcoming appearance at Gamescom, Final Fantasy 14's summer schedule remains packed. As future Dawntrail patches are on the horizon, it will be interesting to see how Jobs continue to evolve in response to player feedback.
