Concord, an upcoming hero-shooter aiming to make a significant impact in the gaming world, has revealed its beta rewards. Developed by industry veterans who previously worked on titles like Halo, Call of Duty, and Destiny, Concord carries high expectations for success.
PlayStation has been banking on this game's potential for some time. Sony acquired Concord developer Firewalk Studios even before the game was publicly revealed, signaling strong confidence in the studio's project. To refine the game further, Concord is holding an open beta, inviting players to provide feedback to help ensure its success when it launches.

Players participating in the open beta, which ends on July 21, will receive exclusive rewards when Concord officially releases on August 23. These rewards include a "Lil' Frog" weapon charm and a "Star Flare" Business Card. In-game, "Frog" stands for "From Orbit to Ground," referencing the ship characters use in cutscenes. The Business Card serves as proof of beta participation, displayed whenever players share their info with others.
While these rewards are a nice gesture, the overall reaction to Concord has been mixed. Despite the impressive credentials of Firewalk Studios and positive feedback on the game's core mechanics, generating interest in its lore and concepts is proving challenging. Competing with successful titles like Fortnite, which has mastered integrating a wide array of content into its universe, Concord faces an uphill battle. Additionally, its $40 price tag and the crowded hero-shooter market add to the game's challenges.
