Mark Rubin, XDefiant's executive producer, has detailed plans to address the frame rate issues affecting the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Although some players continue to report major frame rate spikes, Rubin assures that a resolution is imminent.
XDefiant launched in May, positioning itself as a serious competitor to Call of Duty. The game quickly attracted fans with its fast-paced gameplay and unique features. However, several issues have emerged post-launch, including significant frame rate problems on the PS5, which Ubisoft San Francisco is working to resolve. The recent Season 1 update has already made strides towards improving the game, but more fixes are needed for long-term success.
Rubin announced on Twitter that a quick patch for the PS5 has been released to alleviate frame rate issues for players running the game at 60Hz. While it is unclear if this issue affects other versions of the game, the patch is currently exclusive to the PS5, where players lack the setting adjustments available to PC users.
