As I listened to talk back radio yesterday, a mother of a thirteen year old rang in, she said her son had been buying Lotto tickets since the age of eleven. Unbelievably, she could see no harm in this, and was extremely proud her son was up by $6500.
I am now curious to know about the legal age/s for gambling in your country, and if your countries rules differ from state to state?
Here in New Zealand, it appears we have some rather inconsistent laws regarding minors and gambling. The craziest part is the senseless justification for the age variation, that apparently has to do with deterring gambling addiction through playing games of instant gratification. Oh boy, have I missed something, when is gambling not gambling?
